I made it!  My first short term goal in weight loss, Praise the Lord.  40.4 pounds lost forever!

My next goal is 40 more pounds.  Thanks, to the tireless efforts of my Trainer Matt from Beat Personal Training.  I have so many ailments with this obesity abused body of mine I’m sure he gets tired of hearing them all but he is encouraging and helps me go forward.  I still hurt really bad and I don’t think there is any way I can make it but I just get up and move on to another day with God’s help.  Dr. Paul encourages me when I go in for my adjustments.  The staff is so supportive as well.  J

Just pray for me to make my next weight loss goal as soon as my body is willing.

This was a good week.  I am finding my mindset is more healthy, as well.  I just noticed something typing,  Healthy=Heal.

Dr. Paul Baker is always talking to me about being healed and to be healthy, one has to be healed.  That is my ultimate goal to be healed from the inside out.

It was another successful week in weight loss.  I lost another 2.6 pounds  for a total of 39.1 pounds lost forever!  I thought about leaving the .1 off but then I worked just as hard for the .1 as I did for the 39.

I am grateful for every ounce that helps me to be healthier.  I had Jason from Beat Personal Training as my trainer this week and he worked me out so hard I was so sore this weekend it was difficult to move at times.  Again, if that’s what it takes to get me closer to my healthy from the inside out goal, I am grateful.  Who knew such a nice person could be so tough.  Thanks, Jason.

That’s it for this week.  Pray for me as I forge ahead and that this body holds up to the challenge.

This week was a tough week.  I made all my workouts which was an accomplishment.  I had to come in early on Wednesday because my daughter wasn’t feeling well and I needed to help babysit most everyday this week with my three sweet grandchildren 4 years, 2 years, and 3 months.  Normally, this would have been no problem but my apartment flooded from the unit above me.  So I had like two hours sleep and not a lot of sleep all the other nights.  I was so tired. Stressed and didn’t eat a lot.

Well, Dr. Paul was correct you have to eat ( good whole foods ) to lose.  Only .4 pounds this week!  Not even half a pound!

So I ended up crying at the gym, like a baby.  Much more from being tired than the low weight loss.  I couldn’t imagine working out much but I made it and hopefully that will be a good thing.  So I am resting this weekend and gearing up for another week in my Life Call Challenge.  Covet your prayers.

December 18, 2011 Life Call update:

Matt at BEAT Personal Training Dr. Patrick Baker Betty Higgins Dr. Paul Baker It was a good week.  2.8 more pounds gone forever! That’s 25.3 pounds in 6 weeks.  I was thinking how thankful I am to Dr. Paul Baker, Dr. Patrick Baker and Matt @ BEAT Personal Training  for this awesome opportunity they’ve given me.  Thanks again.  I know I say that a lot but it is still ever present in my thinking how God is so good to send this opportunity into my life. May the Lord bless all those that have helped me!

I was terribly run down and tired this weekend from my workouts, iced and slept a lot.  I’m hoping to get stronger as time goes by.

That’s it for this week.

December 11, 2011 Life Call Update:

Weight Loss and Food AddictionHad a good week, five weeks into my Life Call program.  I am starting to feel less of the overwhelming cravings for food that I had the first four weeks of my Life Call program.  They still come but it doesn’t seem to be as bad.

I now kind of understand what a person addicted to drugs and alcohol goes through.  I have heard on news shows that to some people food can be as addictive as heroine.  I do not claim that it is that bad because I don’t know what a person addicted to those things goes through but I do know it was extremely difficult the past five weeks.

People might say look what too much food is doing to you and your body.  Food is your enemy but food has always been a comfort and friend to me.  My Christmas season has been sort of hollow this year because I always connected a part of it with food.  Food was my pleasure and comfort through many tough parts in my life.  In my childhood, I grew up poor but the Lord was good and my Mother worked hard to raise a garden and canned so we always had something to eat. It was not like we had what most would call a lot of food.  So when Christmas came around, we would usually get to have at least a turkey and some dressing and I remember picking the last bits of the leftovers days later after the dinner and normally that was the only time we had fresh citrus fruit or dessert.   I know that Christ is the part of Christmas that I love but for some reason the imprinted childhood memories seem to be a part of you.  So that is something I have been working through this Christmas season.

My workouts have been difficult but good.  Wish my joints would comply more.  I know the more I lose the easier it will be on my joints and that it is my fault for overeating and ruining my joints in the first place but all I know to do is to keep working. The trainers at BEAT Personal Training are great.  I worked with Jake the first time this week.  He was great.  Matt, Jason and Jake are all great trainers.  I would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone wanting to lose weight.  Thanks, BEAT Personal Training!

That’s all for this week.  Thank you, Dr. Paul, Dr. Patrick, Baker Chiropractic and BEAT Personal Training for all your support and help in my LIFE CALL endeavor.

November 29th Life Call Update:

Give Thanks for a Life Call ProgramThe Lord was so good to me to have my children and grandchildren around at Thanksgiving and an great organic meal with them.

Dr. Paul said I could have like two small red potatoes and a roasted vegetable medley but I only had like 3 or 4 tiny bites to see if I was missing anything and I wasn’t,  so no need for that.

Went to my workout at BEAT Personal Training instead of shopping at Black Friday sales and I got the best deal I’m sure.

I have lost 16.1 pounds in 3 weeks and two days!  There were only two of us (plus the trainers) in the gym when I got to the gym and only about two more came later.  Matt, my trainer, told me one lady was thinking about signing up because she is so inspired by me.  That doesn’t make me proud, it makes me grateful to the Lord she would want to be healthy as well because of the awesome opportunity Dr. Paul Baker and Dr. Patrick Baker have given me.

Although, I was glad when my workout was over it felt good to get it in.  My trainer said he was going to tell Dr. Paul I’d had pumpkin pie but no sweets for me and that was probably the most will power I’ve ever had and again it felt good to not have eaten sweets.  The pain from my fibromyalgia is pretty much gone.  Dr. Paul was right again!  Sugar and Fibromyalgia don’t mix.  Thanks, again, Dr. Paul and Dr. Patrick for starting me on the road to a new healthy life!

Make your children proud with a Life Call ProgramMatt was my trainer again today at BEAT Personal Training.  He sent my son a small video clip of me working out.

My son replied, “You don’t know how big I was smiling while watching it,”

He told me on the phone the other day that he was proud of me and so did my daughter.  I have such supportive children.

Matt put me through it today but it will be worth it to get healthy.  I iced when I got home plus Dr. Paul had me do some ultrasound on my knees to help the inflammation.  Thanks, Dr. Paul.

Looking forward to Bible Study tonight and of course more, you guessed it, more icing.  I am not complaining though this Life Call is an opportunity of a lifetime.  Thanks, Dr. Paul and Dr. Patrick Baker!
